RESEARCH:
My research is in Power Electronics and Mixed-Signal IC Design for power
management, the enabling technologies for smart
and efficient utilization of conventional and renewable energy sources. Prof.
Robert Erickson and myself co-direct industry-supported Colorado
Power Electronics Center (CoPEC). My current research interests include:
- Digital control of switch-mode power converters
- Mixed-signal IC design for power management applications
-
Power management of low-power, battery-operated systems
-
Simulation and CAD Tools for Power Electronics
-
Analysis, modeling, control and topologies of DC-DC converters and AC-DC
rectifiers with power factor correction
-
Resonant and soft-switching techniques
